1. Overview
FindMySport ("FindMySport", "we", "us") helps people discover sports venues — courts, fields, clubs, and arenas — and connect with other players. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By creating a profile or otherwise using FindMySport, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Data We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways:
Information you provide directly
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account details | Full name, username, email address, password |
| Profile details | Bio, location, sports you play, skill level, availability |
| Social links | Instagram and Twitter/X handles you choose to add |
| Preferences | Whether your profile is public, whether other players can message you, invite/activity notification settings |
Information collected automatically
- Basic authentication data (via Firebase Authentication) needed to log you in securely.
- Timestamps such as when your account was created and when you were last active.
- Standard technical data like browser type and general usage patterns, used only to keep the site running smoothly.
Information from third parties
If you choose to sign in with Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), or Google, those services share limited profile information (such as your name and email) with us in order to create or log you into your account. We don't see or store your password for those services.

4. Profile Visibility
FindMySport gives you control over how visible your profile is:

- Your email address and password are never shown on your public profile.
You can update your visibility and messaging settings at any time from your profile page.
7. Data Security
Your account is protected using Firebase Authentication, and your data is stored in Firebase's Firestore database with access restrictions in place. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
